OUR STORY

Technology Has Always Been My Thing. People Have Always Been My Why.

I have been in IT since 1990. That is not a typo. Before most businesses had a website, I was already deep in the work — writing code, building databases, solving problems that real people and real organizations needed solved.

What I figured out pretty quickly is that the technology was never really the hard part. The hard part is always the people living inside of it.

HOW I GOT HERE

A Career Built on Bridging Gaps

I started as a developer at Nationwide Insurance, then moved into building software for state and county governments — the unglamorous stuff that keeps communities running, like vehicle tags and property taxes. That work taught me early that a system either works for the people using it or it doesn't work at all.

From there I joined Carter's as a Database Administrator and grew into leading the team — managing 75+ Oracle and SQL Server systems supporting enterprise retail operations. A decade of building, fixing, and leading.

Then Oracle called. I spent the next ten years as a Solution Architect and Master Principal Consultant, walking into Fortune 500 companies and helping them modernize their data platforms, move to the cloud, and actually get value out of the technology they had already invested in. I loved that work. It was the closest thing to a superpower I had found — walking into a complex situation, listening hard, finding the root of the problem, and mapping a path forward that everyone in the room could understand and act on.

My last role at Oracle was Senior Manager over their Technical Program Management team. I led a team of 15 across Oracle's most strategic Cloud, Multi-Cloud, and AI deals — working across sales, engineering, cloud success, and other internal teams to drive overall success. My focus was on the people and the process. We built repeatable frameworks for discovery, solution alignment, and execution. We identified gaps before they became problems. We made sure that every team tied to a deal had what they needed to deliver. It was complex, cross-functional, high-stakes work — and I loved every bit of it.

In September 2025, that chapter closed.

WHAT HAPPENED NEXT

The Space to Ask a Better Question

Once that chapter closed, life had already decided what came first.

My Mom — who is 91 and absolutely amazing — took ill right around that same time. So I did what you do. I showed up for her. For an extended season I was less focused on what was next for me and completely focused on her. I have no regrets about that. Not one.

She is doing beautifully now. The worst is behind us. And with her on the mend, I finally had the space to ask myself a question I had been too busy to sit with:

What do I actually love about this work?

The answer came fast. Technology and people. Always both. Never one without the other.

WHY CONNECTIVE SYSTEMS CONSULTING

This Is Not a Pivot. This Is Everything.

I started Connective Systems Consulting because there are so many businesses — good businesses, mission-driven organizations, hardworking entrepreneurs — who are either drowning in technology that doesn't serve them or avoiding it altogether because it feels out of reach. I know how to fix that. I have been fixing versions of that problem my entire career.

My superpower is bridging the gap. I am a listener first. I get to the root of what is actually wrong before I ever propose a solution. And I translate complex technology into language that every person in the room can understand — regardless of their technical background.

When I get it right — and I usually do — I get to watch someone's face change. That exhale. That moment when a problem they have been carrying finally has a clear path forward. That is what I am here for.
